Beyond Unit Testing

Date and Time: 12/18/2007 - 6:00 - 8:30 PM (Dinner will be provided)
Location: 125 S. Webster Street ( GEF 3) meeting room 041
Speaker: I-Lin Kuo
Topic: JUnit and Test-Driven-Design (TDD) are important tools in a programmer's arsenal but they aren't a complete solution to the problem of writing quality code. I-Lin Kuo of FrontlineCoder.com will give a brief overview of unit testing practices and where they fall short, followed by demonstrations of other tools such as JMeter, JDepends, and FindBugs which can fill in the testing gap.
Notes: We will have a copy of the book Spring in Action to give away courtesy of Manning. We will also have two other books to give away courtesy of O'Reilly: Wicked Cool Java and Ajax and Java.

Codeworks will be providing dinner for this meeting.
Please help them plan their food order by letting us know that you plan to make it. Thanks!
