We are seeking a highly skilled and driven senior level Software Engineer to join us in the design and development of an advanced application platform. "Software as a Service" company for the transportation vertical market. Our on-demand software enables suppliers and retailers to offer the fastest delivery to online, call center and in-store customers, and allows buyers to receive purchases within a few hours of placing an order. We are literally changing the way software for the transportation industry is deployed. Education and Experience Profile:
  • At least 10+ years work experience in software development across a wide variety of development projects
  • BA/BS in Computer Science or related field

Leadership and Personal Skills:
  • Ability and desire to understand the company's vision and goals, business operations, and markets
  • Communicates clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships at all levels.
  • Has strong passion for software development.
  • Ability to meet frequent deadlines

Technical Skills:
  • Must have a minimum of 10+ years of Hands-On Java software development experience using Object Oriented methodology.
  • Proven design Skills and Experience
  • Greenfield Development Experience (developing applications from the ground up)
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience in the development and testing of WEB-based applications.
  • Experience with XML, Java Servlets, JSP, Java Beans, JDBC, HTTP, HTML, SQL, and application servers (i.e. JBoss).
  • Has experience with Unit testing (JUnit)
  • Has experience with MVC
  • Hands on experience with Sybase, or one of the other major databases.
  • Must have worked on Internet/Intranet/e-Commerce applications.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience in UNIX (preferably Linux) environment.
  • Has knowledge of the entire System Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical personnel.
  • Experience with AGILE Development Methodology
