Should be capable of performing application architecture and design changes, development and maintenance activities, technology/tool assessments etc. This is a Programmer-Analyst role. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Analyzes business processes in order to define application functional requirements and technical specifications. Able to guide, formulate, contribute to, and direct task identification, work effort estimates, and work schedules for development and maintenance activities. Participates in and may direct problem definition and problem resolution activities. Participates in and may direct the analysis and definition of efficient, cost effective application solutions which support client business processes and functional requirements. Performs software coding, testing, debugging, documentation, and installation tasks for on-line and batch processes in accordance with industry best practices and specific internal procedures and standards. Coordinates with internal departments to provide associated deliverables required for the successful completion of development and maintenance assignments May provide on call support and may coordinate on call response efforts as assigned. Performs other duties as required. JOB SPECIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field. Substantial experience (5+ years) in all phases of applications SDLC, specifically in an Object Oriented Development environment is required. The ideal candidates will have 3 years extensive experience writing code in Java and J2EE environment. Strong skills required in critical thinking and analysis, verbal and written communications, and interpersonal interactions (e.g. partnering, conflict management, consulting, etc.). Experience in Health Care industry with solid understanding of claim processing or bill review in a healthcare environment is a strong plus. Any candidate with NO Object Oriented programming experience will be DISREGARDED. |
